Posted on Traveler04839256120Verified Bicycle trip through all the ancient buildings Amazing bicycle trip with Yuth with two mates. Went on a journey through the forest saw some amazing ancient buildings literally could not have been better! If you want the best way to see the temples book in with Yuth and get on your bike! Best day of the tripPosted on Alister RVerified Great tour of the temples Yuth was a great guide. The bike tour is a fantastic way to see the temples. We covered around 45km at a leisurely pace over a full day. Can’t think of a better way to see these extraordinary sights.Posted on Learn lVerified Village Experience and local way of life Unique Adventure Tour offers visitors an opportunity to experience Real Cambodia differently. We cycled through local villages and talked with friendly villagers, monks, and children. Ra, our tour guide, was perfect and explained everything well in good English. The tour "off the beaten track" in Siem Reap is highly recommended for all visitors to the city. When choosing Unique Adventure Tour, you also help students pay their university school, which is a great way to support children's hospitals and is thus a great way to support the locals.Posted on Ameeta MVerified Chum made this tour an amazing experience. Chum was our guide and host and he was above and beyond what we expected. The tour picked us up at the hotel promptly at 4:42am and put us in a tuk-tuk for Angkor Wat. Along the way, Chum told us about where we were going and some history of the ancient temple. When we arrived, we walked towards the entrance of Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise and stand by the reflection pond. With every step, Chum told us stories of the carvings on the wall, and let us sit to reflect on the different angles and views inside the structure. We did not feel harried and enjoyed all the time we were given at each stop. After breakfast we began our cycling journey which was heavenly. We biked on roads and trails and enjoyed the scenery. Who knew there were so many temples to visit besides Angkor Wat? Chum knows the history and culture of Siem Reap as he studied as a Buddhist Monk prior to becoming a tour guide. He was open and approachable and we asked him many questions.Highly, highly recommend this tour and Chum as the guide!Posted on Michael_WellsVerified Excellent tour, as expected Very knowledgeable and pleasant guide, good fruit snack stop, very nice lunch. Good bikes at sizes we requested. We cycled directly from our hotel, about 40km in total, easy cycling at a moderate pace on flat terrain. The temples we saw were spectacular.Posted on CamillaVerified It was really great to go by bike sometimes on jungle like trails between the temples! Our tour guide was ok and brought us wisely to the temple at the longest distance first since Angkor Wat is very crowded in the mornings. The day after we took a tuc-tuc early in the morning to see Angkor Wat in the sunrise instead. Be aware that if you are a woman you are not allowed to take the stairs to "heaven" if you just have a scarf to wrap around your legs (which is ok for all other temples including Angkor Wat except the "heaven".Posted on Adrian LVerified Highlight of my stay in Cambodia I had such a great time with on this tour. Being on the bike meant we were able to get to places that you couldn’t otherwise. It made for such a beautiful and peaceful experience. My guide Gra was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to have a conversation with. I can’t recommend enough!Posted on Julie692Verified Best day of the holiday H G Ra was an excellent guide. Took our family of 2 adults and 3 children (age 9-16) on a 30 km off road bike road round several of the main temples including Angkor Wat. Some of the best temples to visit were the overgrown smaller ones with no road access so sometimes we were the only people there. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the temples and the stories behind the carvings. We stopped at a local village which gave our children an insight into how the locals live. Excellent lunch stop. Would recommend the lok lak. Plenty of water provided all day.Posted on CherylVerified The best way to see the temples! My partner and I booked a private cycling tour which meant a call time of 4.40am (yawn!) but it was well worth it! It meant that we had enough time to stand in line for our day pass at the ticket booths and still catch the sunrise over Angkor Wat. If you have the time, I'd definitely recommend getting tickets the day before so you can skip the queues at the ticketing counter. We saw 4 temples over our 10-hour day and 3 of them by cycling there. Angkor Wat was magnificient and our guide G Ra impressed us with his deep knowledge of Cambodian history that spanned centuries (not decades!) He took the time to explain the learning galleries at Angkor Wat (the carvings on the stone walls) and gave so much insight into the Kingdom of Cambodia - its Kings, its religions and its Gods and all the influences that have shaped its present day. Our favourite parts of the tour were definitely the lesser known temples as it meant far less tourists and getting there by on a bicycle let us cycle into very scenic forests and trails that had so many butterflies (as it is rainy season!). Not having to be packed into a generic tour bus with 50 other people was a huge plus! What made this tour memorable were the breathtaking temples but it was the passionate way in which G Ra conducted his work that made the difference. He was so easy to strike a conversation with and shared so many personal and honest insights that made the hours fly by. Breakfast and lunch were included and though it was simple, was some of the tastiest food we got to eat on our trip. Thank you G Ra for making this a day we will never forget.Posted on Jb45Verified Countryside Biking Tour I decided to go on a countryside biking tour to get away from the tourist area for a few hours. This tour was absolutely amazing! The locals love opening their hearts to foreign travelers. I was able to see how the crops and farming supported the bigger community and their way of living. My tour guide, Rith was very accommodating and gave me a warm welcome when he greeted me at my hotel for pick up. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Siem Reap.Load more
