Starting in the city of Siem Reap, led by your guide, you will escape the city noise and hectic traffic to reach the more peaceful countryside. Following planned trails running parallel to the rice paddy fields, you will get the chance to interact with the local way of life, stopping to admire the ancient temple ruins as well as admire local handicraft work. It will be a relaxing ride through stunning landscapes and quiet villages.
Lunch will be located in a small village where you will enjoy a simple but delicious Khmer dish hosted by locals. During this time, it provides the opportunity to learn about the various traditional Cambodian dishes and the stories behind the ingredients and flavours that make the Khmer cuisine. After lunch, you will continue cycling towards a local pottery to get an introduction into the ancient carving art form.
To continue the learning of local Cambodian art forms, on the return trip we will stop to see the process of silk weaving- how local Khmer crafts are made and finally we will end up at an artist’s house to witness the traditional leather carving used in the Khmer puppet shows. Once we have made it back to the Unique Adventure shop, you will be welcomed by some coconut juice or lemon tea to wash down all that you have learnt.

Meal is Khmer style in the local restaurant. You will taste a unique Khmer cuisine staples as this tour will include breakfast and lunch. We are guaranteed for the food with fresh vegetable and very healthy food. On the other hand, If you are a vegetarian, Don’t worry! You just mention on your booking request, we will treat you with the vegetarian dish as you enjoy.

We’ll meet early morning at Unique Adventure Shop, where your guide will set you up on the mountain bike. After getting fitted, we will head towards marked roads to avoid any traffic. Then ride through the country roads to reveal the true heart of the countryside.
This is the perfect stop to roam around the local market, take an opportunity to learn about the exotic local breakfast and we encourage you to try the different foods to experience the authentic local, rich flavours. Feel free to try!
Pedaling out of the market on the small tracks alongside paddy fields, we will stop to see the vegetable plantation, with its products being used to conjure up the Khmer cuisine. Your guide will explain the local farming practices as an introduction to Cambodian agriculture.
Uncover the ancient secrets of the Theravada Buddhism, spend time with your tour guide at the pagoda to learn about Buddhist art and architecture as well the traditional blessing.
At noon, you will have a break. Your local host will prepare the tasty home-cooked lunch in the traditional way. Here, you can enjoy eating the delicious food with the host family and share food experiences with them.
After the break, we will hit the road and stop off to visit Prolung Khmer Pottery and Weaving Training Centre which is a community social enterprise that provides Cambodians with pottery skills. They will show off the boastful displays of a range of pots from the incredible artistic talents.
Biking from the Pottery Center to the weaving place, you will see women using intricate looms to make kramas (scarf), where your guide will educate you about the weaving practices that is a family heirloom.
The last stop, we will visit the traditional leather carving, where high-quality leather is used for home decorations from the traditional art form that the Cambodians have been enjoying for long time.
The overall distance is 45 km and we usually finish at 4:00 pm. At the end, we will hop off the bikes and enjoy a tuk-tuk/vehicle ride back.
